TOUR AROUND TIKAL
Let yourself be swept away by the magic Tikal has to offer. Our tour sets out early in the morning after you are picked up at either the hotel or the airport, you are taken to the largest Maya archaeological site from the Classic Period. There you will be able to see and explore more than 3,000 structures, the tallest one of ancient America among them. Declared as part of the Natural and Cultural Heritage of Mankind by UNESCO in 1979, Tikal is an obligatory stop in your journey through Peten.
You will visit the Great Plaza, Temples I, II, III, and IV, the Astronomy observatory complex, the “Lost World”, and other minor buildings.

- 13:30 Lunch at El Mesón restaurant and then a visit to the Ceramics Museum.
- 16:00 Return to the hotel or airport.
- Walk: 4 hours with stops to rest. 85% of the walk is in the jungle shade.
- Bring mosquito repellent, bottled water, a raincoat and walking shoes.
- Note: The terrain is relatively flat and there are options to climb some temples.
